Dear Friends,

As we approach the tenth anniversary of our arrival in Fresno, I've taken the opportunity to reflect on this miracle we call Breaking Free.  My boast will be in the LORD, but it will be a boast nonetheless, because He has done - and is doing - great things.  

•Just last week, a gentlemen approached and tearfully told me that his foot, painfully swollen for months, was healed as we were preaching Jesus to the congregation.  
•Another family, after enduring years of childlessness until the desperate wife met and was prayed for by Pastor Lana, is now expecting their third child.  
•Over 105,00 people have received free groceries from Breaking Free Food Distribution.  
•A team of unpaid volunteers clock over 250 hours every week serving and supporting our church and community.  
•Through the West Fresno Ministerial Alliance, which I serve as president, pastors and church leaders in earthquake- and voodoo-ravaged Haiti are being trained in biblical studies and Christian ministry.  

And on and on the stories and testimonies continue, lives, families, communities, and yes, nations, being touched by the grace of God working through Breaking Free.

            I share this at an important juncture in our journey.  God has given us this mandate: Expand.  Enlarge your territory.  Aim higher. We are leaving our current location in the next few weeks, and are seeking a new facility from which to impact our community.  You, dear reader, are invited to partake in the grace that's on our lives by becoming a partner and supporter of Breaking Free.  We are praying for 200 people who will give $100 or more, and others who will pledge monthly or one-time support for this ministry that has done so much for so long.   

            You know, the fields are ready for harvesting, not only in Fresno, but in San Francisco and in the southern San Joachin Valley, where we have recently begun to minister.  An army of dry bones is being mustered and aroused, ready to heed the call of anointed generals on behalf of a generation living in darkness and longing for the truth.  Breaking Free has a message for the now, though it is firmly rooted in the Everlasting.  Won't you come aboard?

            I've heard this recently and it bears consideration: Instead of asking God to bless what you're doing, find what God is blessing, and join in.  God is blessing the preaching of His word.  He is blessing true religion, He's blessing brothers dwelling in unity, giving to the poor, peacemaking, reconciling, and bridge-building.  He is blessing Breaking Free.
